| West Sussex based Artetch Circuits Ltd has successfully passed their Investors in People (IIP) re-appraisal audit demonstrating that they have once again met the standards and framework set by IIP. Artetch are proud to have held this accreditation since 1997 and believe their continued commitment to staff, training & quality has been instrumental in the company’s continued success during the economic down turn. Based in Littlehampton, Artetch employs over 80 staff and has been trading for over 40 years. HR Manager Louise Collins commented; “Artetch is committed to getting the best out of staff, giving them the opportunity to grow within their roles and learn new skills. We offer a great range of training opportunities, including the recent Government backed Apprenticeship Scheme and NVQs. Our investment in staff is key to our success, helping us to remain innovative competitive and focused.” The re-appraisal success comes on the back of a host of other accreditation vital to the hi-tech industry Artetch operate in. Other successes in 2009 have included confirmation of Artetch’s commitment to the environment, having recently passed their ninth BSI audit on its Environmental Management Systems (BS EN ISO 14001). As well as this Artetch passed their Continuous Assessment Audit for their Aerospace Approval AS EN9100 approval in March 2009. This was the first surveillance audit conducted by the British Standards Institute since Artetch were awarded the prestigious AS9100 accreditation in October 2008. Joolz Burt, Quality Manager at Artetch, who recently gained Lead Auditor Status in AS9100 to add to her BS ISO9001 and ISO14001 qualification, commented; ‘I am delighted that we have successfully passed our first audit. This shows that our quality systems are robust and the focus of quality within the company continues to deliver the correct results”. Martin Morrell, Managing Director commented; ‘Artetch is working very hard to ensure its ongoing success during these recessionary times and this is paying off with our order book looking stronger than ever. The future looks very bright for Artetch’. The Littlehampton based Company can supply conventional, double sided and multilayer printed circuit boards to the aeronautical and aerospace industries and has been in operation since 1967 but has grown significantly since a management buy-in lead by MD Martin Morrell in 2006.
